Purpose: To educate conflict resolution practitioners about how to effectively mediate disputes arising from disability accommodation requests. This 2-day course is designed based on the recommendations of the ADA Mediation Guidelines.

- An enhanced awareness of people with disabilities; the appropriate ways to engage with them; and the impact of the disability on the person’s functioning
- A set of guidelines and resources to manage mediation cases involving disability-related disputes
- A 8-step convening process to use while preparing parties for an accessible mediation
- A better understanding of the disability laws that protect the rights of people with disabilities
- An accommodation design process to use while facilitating the mediation discussion, if the discuss involves an accommodation issue
- Greater confidence to address and effectively facilitate disability accommodation disputes
- A plan for next steps
