Counseling Services
Patricia M. Porter is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW)
in the state of Texas. Since 2002, she has held licenses in
Pennsylvania and Delaware and practiced as a therapist at the
University of Delaware's Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP)
for 4 years. While working in the Employee Assistance Program, she
provided employee counseling services to faculty and staff to cover a
range of mental health issues, workplace and family issues, and
substance abuse case management. Patricia also co-facilitated
psycho-educational and therapeutic groups in women's self-esteem, anger
management, domestic violence, and a Gulf War II support group. She
also provide conflict management services including mediation and
conflict coaching. Patricia often designed and co-facilitated
departmental retreats, staff and leadership development, team-building,
strategic planning sessions and group problem-solving.
In 2008, Conflict Connections, Inc. joined as an Associate of Cohen and Associates of Houston,
TX to provide Critical Incident
Stress Debriefings (CISD) in the workplace. These debriefings
are provided to effected employees in the workplace as a way to process
critical incidents such as a sudden death in the workforce, bank
robbery, industrial accidents, shootings, suicide, etc. Services are
provided to a variety of workplace settings in the San Antonio and Hill
