Patricia "Pattie"
Porter, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, conflict management
consultant, trainer, conflict coach, and a graphic facilitator. She is
the President of Conflict Connections, Inc., a woman-owned business
based in
San Antonio, Texas.

Patricia currently focuses her practice in the workplace addressing
employee and organizational conflicts. For 9 years she worked as a
consultant and associate with the Conflict Resolution Program and the
Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) at the University of
Delaware.
Patricia has worked extensively in the dispute resolution field
for over 14 years. She focuses her energies in
workplace organizations (to include employees, administration and
management) businesses, state and federal sector
agencies using various conflict management interventions
including conflict coaching, mediation, graphic and group facilitation,
circle dialogues, training and consultation.
Currently, Conflict Connections, Inc. works with EEO mediation programs
for
the United States Postal Service, the Federal Occupational
Health/Transportation Security Administration (TSA), United Parcel
Service (UPS), and the Texas
Dispute Resolution Center (DRC). Her mediation
practice has included mediating disputes with families, in school
districts, community-based programs, small claims court, juvenile
programs, higher education, and ethical conflicts with the National
Association for Social Workers.
Pattie is a highly experienced trainer having designed curriculum,
developed materials and delivered participatory conflict management
programs to hundreds of participants over the years. She has also
designed and delivered advanced mediation trainings including teaching
mediators the ADA
Mediation Guidelines and raising their level of awareness
on best practices for mediations that involve people with disabilities.
Currently, Pattie works with Centre Consulting of Virginia and
Chi-Resolutions to
provide a variety of conflict managment services to the Department of
Interior's Collaborative Action Dispute Resolution (CADR) Program
office. She also provided interest-based negotiation training to Air
Force civilian and
military personnel at bases across the United States. Pattie is a
senior trainer with the Solutions Launch Team for Coca-Cola Enterprises
and Mediation Works Incorporated (MWI) which rolled out a nationwide
dispute resolution program and conflict resolution training to over
44,000 employees.
Patricia has used her conflict management skills to facilitate
dialogue for community and statewide change by building capacity with
key stakeholder groups including practitioners, community advocates,
attorneys, community and political leaders, and agency decision-makers.
Currently, she works with the Transportation Security Administration's
Model Workplace Program Office in Washington, D.C. providing
facilitation services for TSA management at airports across the United
States. Ms. Porter has worked in various venues providing strategic
planning, visioning, team-building, and addressing transition and
change within teams.
As a leader in the dispute resolution field, Pattie has held
numerous state and national leadership positions. She completed a
two-year term as the Co-Chair for the Workplace Section at the
Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). Serving close
to 800 members, the Section is a leader in workplace ADR practices. She
now serves on the Workplace Section's Advisory Board. Pattie has
served on numerous agency Boards of Directors and Committee Chairs
throughout her professional career.
In order to provide balance in her life, she travels nationally and
internationally with her husband to experience other cultures and
expand her cultural competence. She often shares her travel experiences
